Desktop Phone Recording Devices

These devices sit on your desk or very near it. They connect somewhere between your handset and telephone wall socket.

Desktop recording equipment can save onto a simple cassette, onto CD, DVD, or directly onto your PC.

Recording to Cassette - For capturing just 'special' calls

These devices are specially designed for telephone recording, so achieve better sound quality than a standard tape machine. Recordings are automatically stopped and started by the equipment. They come with all the necessary specialist connectors enabling connection to almost any phone system. The main advantage of recording to cassette is the ease of playback (for example you can listen to calls in a car).

See our 703N High Quality Std Cassette for further information on what this type of product can do.

Recording to CD or DVD - For regular or frequent usage

175 hours of recording, stored to a CD

Saving to DVD is better for high capacity needs as DVD has a capacity of 900 hours as opposed to CD at 175 hours per disk. However recording to DVD is only available on high spec centralised solutions placed in comms rooms. CD recording is available on many products on this site. Either method offers great sound quality, easy playback and no degradation to recordings.

See our 175 Featurephone or CD300 for further information on what these types of products can do.

Saving to PC - For capturing & storing lots of calls

Recording directly onto your own PC or network is very popular and inexpensive. The devices use highly efficient compression technology to ensure PC resource is not affected. Recordings are easy to label and sort, making it easy to find them later by customer name etc. You would then back these up as part of your normal back up procedure.
